Tokyo Steel cuts scrap purchasing prices

It's reported that Japan's Tokyo Steel announced to cut its scrap purchasing prices by ¥500~¥1,000/ton at its five works from April 17th.

After the adjustment, its H2 scrap purchasing prices averaged at ¥31,500~¥33,500/ton.

Among them, the H2 scrap purchasing prices in Okayama plant are at¥32,500/ton; those in Kyushu plant are at ¥32,500/ton; those in Tahara plant are at ¥33,500/ton; those in Utsunomiya plant are at ¥33,000/ton and those in Takamatsu steel center are at ¥31,500/ton.

Meanwhile, Tokyo Steel has reduced scrap purchasing prices for consecutive three times since this April and the total price cut amounted to ¥1,500~¥2,000/ton.
